Craniosacral Therapy Message (CST)

CST is a holistic healing approach that involves gentle manipulation of the skull and spine to promote the body’s self-healing mechanisms and balance the craniosacral system. This therapy is often offered by licensed massage therapists or practitioners with specific training in craniosacral therapy. Craniosacral System consists of the membranes and cerebrospinal fluid that surround and protect the brain and spinal cord. CST practitioners believe that by gently manipulating the system, they can influence the overall health and well-being of the individual. CST uses very light touch. The goal is to detect and release any restrictions or imbalances in the CST. CST therapists use their hands to feel for subtle rhythms, restrictions, and areas of tension in the craniosacral system. Then, they apply gentle pressure to release these areas, allowing the body to relax and self-correct. Therapists aim to address not only physical symptoms, but also emotional/psychological factors.
